lifelines.

What would we do without best friends? Really. What would we do without those people we can turn to and pour out our deepest fears and grief to? People need people. Even introverted people can't survive entirely on their own. They (we) just need a small group of really strong friends rather than a large group of pretty good friends.

When things seem to be falling completely apart, we need to be able to turn to another person and feed off some of their strength and faith and compassion. We cannot do it alone.

And when we are joyful, how much more joyful is it to share and bask in the good feelings with someone who feels it like it's their own joy?

I'm so grateful for my little core of people.

And this girl is one of them.We missed the Colbie Caillat half of the Colbie and Sheryl Crow concert because I got a flat tire in Connecticut which put me very behind schedule. Sorry Marta!
New Hampshire is beautiful. Did you know that?
Maine is beautiful too. We visited 2 beaches in York, took a walk along the coast in Ogunquit, (pronounced like, "I'm gonna quit" being said like you're really cool or something) and then had dinner in Portsmouth (NH).
That visit was just what I needed.

So grateful.
